Para dar um fôlego à população, o que até me surpreendeu muito, no Rio de Janeiro foi aprovado um projeto na Assembleia Legislativa(Alerj), de nº 1.594/16, de autoria do deputado Dionísio Lins (PP), que proíbe os bancos a obrigarem os correntistas a utilizarem biometria para fazer saques no Estado do Rio. A finalidade é resguardar as pessoas em caso de assaltos e sequestro.
Segundo o parlamentar, a biometria deve ser da vontade do correntista, e não uma exigência, já que valores em conta são de propriedade do mesmo:
"É certo que o objetivo dos bancos é prevenir os clientes contra fraudes, porém eles esquecem que a segurança pessoal do correntista está em risco."
O projeto passou e deu origem à Lei 7.592/17, sancionada pelo governador do Rio, Luiz Fernando Pezão.(fonte)
